IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Robert John
Hashek
February 1, 1940 – April 13, 2025
Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to James and Anne (Kanuaz) Hashek, passed away on
April 13th, 2025. He is survived by his loving wife, Frances Hashek (Nee Zeeryp), and
his four daughters, Anita (Jesse) Sandoval, Dana (Norm) Lidholm, Dawn Rambo, and
LeAnn (John) Conway, as well as his stepson, John (Heather) Baird. Also survived by his
two brothers, Dick (Paula) Hashek and Ed (John) Hashek. Preceded in death by his
brother, Jimmy (Diana) Hashek. Nine grandchildren and many nieces and nephews will
miss him dearly.
In his youth, Bob was a chess champion and was passionate about fishing, golfing,
dartball, and basketball. He was always a hard worker; he pedaled newspapers and
worked on a paper route. At 16, he worked at a bakery, where he developed a love for
bread with tons of butter! After he graduated high school at Notre Dame, he spent his
career at Allen Bradley (printing dept) and C Graphics (manager, estimating/purchasing)
until he retired in 2002.
Bob enjoyed spending time with family, watching golf and basketball tournaments, and
collecting model trains. He loved traveling up north to Shawano, where he had a vacation
home and a pontoon boat. Bob was very handy and knowledgeable about home
improvements. He offered to help many family members and friends with plumbing,
electrical, and various other projects. He cherished playing golf, deer hunting with
friends, going for ice cream at McDonald's, road trips to Door County, and being the captain of his boat.
Bob will be forever missed for his positive attitude on life, his sense of humor, and his
ability to make everyone around him smile and laugh. He had an infectious personality
and a big heart. He will be deeply missed by many. The family wishes to extend their
heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to Badger Hospice and Comfort Keepers for their
incredible support and assistance during Bob's decline.
