Cherished grandpa of Joseph and Robert LaPorta, Melynda (Matt) McPherson and Anthony (Kelly) LaPorta, Heather Fritsch (David Kugi), Eric Fritsch and Amy (Christopher) Thompson, William Gruber, Esq (Fiancee Annie Aschenbrenner) and Krista (Christoper) Favia. Treasured great-grandfather of Alex, Olivia, Matti , Riley and one unborn great-grandchild. Dear brother-in-law of Reinhold Conrad. Robert was proudly served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corps and was a member of Greendale Post #416, American Legion. He had worked as the general manager for Braeger Chevrolet and Lynch Cheverolet and was a retiree of Delco Electronics. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Charles Borromeo Church
