God called him home unexpectedly on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at the age of 89 years. Beloved and devoted husband of Florence (nee Grabowski) for almost 68 years. Dear father of Jeffrey (Laura), Deborah Povlich and Roberta (Dennis) Herzog. Further survived by 13 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends, and Carol Brutvan. Memorial Visitation on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 from 11AM-1PM at Divine Mercy Parish, 800 Marquette Ave. Mass of Christian Burial at 1PM followed by Military Honors. Private inurnment. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are appreciated. Robert had a great sense of humor, enjoyed food and loved to eat. He loved dogs, traveling, and sports. Robert retired from Allen-Bradley after 44 years. He was a dedicated hard worker who provided for his wife and family and will be greatly missed.
