Died peacefully at home on Monday, October 16, 2017. Age 85 years. Beloved husband of the late Patricia (nee Townsend). Loving father of Richard and Tim (Mary) Swainston. Dear grandfather of Richard, Chris, Kyle, Tyler, Jay, Paul, Ethen, Kyle, Luke and Amanda. Great-grandfather of Jaden, Logan Ryleigh, Caleigh, Gabby and 1 on the way. Brother of Gloria Stevens and the late James Swainston. Further survived by other relatives and dear friends. Graveside services on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 11:00AM at Valhalla Memorial Park( 5402 N. 91st St), followed by Military Honors. Richard proudly worked at the Milwaukee Public Museum for many years and helped facilitate the IMAX, Butterfly and Rainforest Exhibits. The family would like to thank Dr. Parent and his staff for the care Richard received over the years.
