Proud grandpa of Joey, Michael, Morgan, Adam, Austin, Samantha, Kim, Alex, Alexandria, Ian and Luke. Great-grandpa of Oliver, Aubrey, Zinna and Jayden. Preceded in death by his parents, George and Clara Somers and his brother, Don Somers., Brother-in-law of Joan (the late Ray) Baguhn, Janet (Ray) Furno, John (the late Lila) Mallman, Jackie (Gary Grundy) Dunstan, Jim (Sharon) Mallman, Judy Colvin, Jane (Gary) Anderson, Joyce (Richard) Law and Joelle (Lou) Vestegen. Also survived by many nieces and nephews, god-children, other family and friends. Richard was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran serving during the Korean War and a proud 50 year member of Local No. 494 of the IBEW. He loved all of Gods creatures and was often seen tending to the feeders of all kinds in the yard. Visitation at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 12, 2018, 4-7:30 PM.
