Found peace on Monday, January 5, 2015, age 80 years. Beloved husband for 25 years of Janet (nee Smith). Loving dad of Sharon Christiansen, Kathy (Mike) Snyder, Randy (Lynn) Fischer. Dear grandpa of Nick, Kim, Amanda, Jeremy, Katrina, Alex, Elizabeth, Kayla, Alyssa and Lisa. Dear brother of Joseph Poetz. Brother-in-law of Jim (Joyce) Smith, Fred (Glenda) Smith, Ken (Jeanne) Smith and Stan (Andrea) Smith. Preceded in death by his parents, George and Marie Poetz and siblings, Robert, George and Sr. Rosemary Poetz. Also survived by other relatives and friends. Dick was a retiree of Eaton-Cutler Hammer, a member of Machinist Local No. 10, a U.S. Army Airborne and member of Amvets Post No. 60.
