Cherished uncle of Joyce, John (Joanne), Richard (Regina) Hasmonek, Susan (Daniel) Furjanic and David (Cathy) Hasmonek, Kenneth (Ann) Heis, April Beckmann and Patricia Inglis. Preceded in death by his parents Rudolph and Anna Heis, sister Gladys (Stephen) Hasmonek, brother Ralph (Judith) Heis, brothers-in-law Alexander Kundrath, William Beyers and Robert Inglis. Further survived by great-nieces, great nephews, other family members and friends. Visitation MONDAY, April 22, 2013 from 9:30 AM 11:30 AM at ST.VERONICA CHURCH, 4001 S. Whitnall Ave. Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM. Interment and Military Honors to follow at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery. Richard served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a proud Marquette University alumnus and a retiree of the Schlitz Brewing Company. In retirement he found great satisfaction serving as a volunteer at St. Francis Hospital. Over a period of 18 years, Richard contributed 5, 909 hours of service to the hospital. In his younger years he was an avid tennis player. He enthusiastically participated in league bowling and parish smokers. Important to him were attending daily mass and his semi-annual trip to Las Vegas.
