Richard Howard Howard (August 29, 1940 - October 7, 2026). On Wednesday, October 7, 2026, age 86 years. Born August 29, 1940. Richard was a loving father and husband. Beloved husband for 50 years of the late Shirley M. (nee Elliott). Loving father of Renee Scianni (Robert Sr.), Donald (Mary), Susan (Paul) Trepczyk, Richard (Amy), Geoffrey and Tony (Sarah). Cherished grandfather of Robert Jr. (Victoria), Mario, Barry (Bryn), Jacob, Laiken and Marden, Savannah, Micah, Madelyn, Anthony. Great-grandfather of Nicholas and Lucas. Preceded in death by his brothers James, John, and Donald Harvey.
Richard was a devoted member of the Wisconsin Air National Guard, where he found his passion as a In-Flight Refueled (Boom Operator). He retired as Chief Master Sergeant after serving for 34 years. Through the Guard, he traveled extensively, found lifelong friendships, and found high honor in serving our country.
A life member of the South Shore Yacht Club, he also found a deep love for sailing with family and friends while enjoying the camaraderie of his fellow members of the club.
He lived a full and social life to the very end, believing that one should find something to celebrate every day, especially being with family and friends. Richard supported several charities reflecting his values and his love for people, nature and country. In lieu of flowers, donations to the South Shore Yacht Club Junior Sailors program, Bay View Methodist Church Music Program, or Milwaukee Public Television.
Visitation at Prasser-Kleczka Funeral Home-Bay View Chapel, 3275 S. Howell Ave., Milwaukee on Friday October 16th, 2026 from 3-6pm, Funeral Service following visitation at 6pm. A private Inurnment and military honors at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
