Richard "Dick" Rutzen

Born to eternal life on Monday, June 30, 2025, age 89 years. Beloved husband of the late Nancy (nee Tesnow) for 64 years. Loving father of Rob (Mary) Rutzen and the late Lynda Johnson (Larry Burss). Dear Grandpa of Dana (Preston) Chybowski and Kyle (Abby) Gorecki. Great grandpa of Mila and Levi Gorecki, Grayson and Harrison Chybowski. Brother of Sally (the late Jim) Gavin. Brother-in-law of the late Ralph (Jean) Tesnow. Further loved and survived by nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Dick was a graduate of Marquette University, where he obtained a Master's Degree in Civil Engineering. He retired from the Wisconsin Dept. of Transportation after 40 years of service. Dick was an avid runner and even ran in the Boston Marathon. He was a proud charter member of St. Stephen the Martyr Lutheran Church in Greendale, Wisconsin. Dick was extremely active and involved within his Church for many years. He was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. He will be deeply missed.

Visitation at St. Stephen the Martyr Lutheran Church, 6101 S. 51st St. Greendale, WI 53129 on Thursday, July 10, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Funeral Service starting at 11:00 AM. Private burial at Arlington Park Cemetery.
