Sunday July 23, 2017. Age 83 years. Preceded in death by his parents Earl and Ruth. Beloved husband of Blanche (nee Fischer) for almost 62 years. Dear father of Debra (Dan Fry), Patricia (Dave) Krauss, Michael (Dagny) and Jean Kindness. Grandfather of Matthew (Zobehida) Szucs, Rebeccca Szucs (Jeffrey Yuan), Benjamin (Candice) Krauss, Amanda (Michael) Wilkinson, Linda (Sean) Deem, Crystal Cramblit, Bianka Cramblit and Alexander Kindness. Great-grandfather of Mateo, Mathius, Milania, Charlie, Madalyn, Logan, Erik, Anna and Lilja. Brother of Janice (the late Ronald) Davis. Memorial Visitation at the Funeral Home on Friday from 5-7PM. Funeral service followed by Military Honors at 7PM. Private inurnment. Richard proudly served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He then worked for 12 years at A/C Delco and was involved with developing the guidance system for the Apollo Space Program. He then worked and retired from MG Industries in 1997 after 25 years. He was proud of being an Eagle Scout and later dedicated many years as a Boy Scout Leader for Troop #208. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Clement Zablocki VA Medical Center.
