Ehlke, Rev. Roland Waldemar Bernhardt Went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 7, 2009, age 93 years. Beloved husband of the late Mary (nee Mueller). Loving Dad of Bruce, Roland "Cap" and Helena Ehlke. Dearest Gramps of Kate, Steve, Kara, Chris, John Davis, Amani, Tracy, Bryan, Brad, Paul, Jonathan, Rich, Cari, and Joshua. Dear brother of Anita Vander Heyden and the late Karl Ehlke. Also survived by many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends, fellow pastors and fellow church members. Visitation Saturday, April 11, 8:30-10:30 AM at RESURRECTION EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 213 E. Howard Ave. Funeral Service at 10:30 AM. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Rev. Ehlke was ordained in April of 1941 and was installed as assistant pastor of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Two Rivers, WI, where he also served the Sandy Bay Congregation. In 1949 he answered a call to become the pastor at Resurrection Ev. Lutheran Church and remained there until his retirement in 1983. From August 1970-1971 he was commissioned a civilian chaplain and served during the Vietnam War. He was also a member of the Pommern Verein of Freistadt. If desired, memorials to Resurrection Ev.
