Born to eternal life on Thursday, May 10, 2018, age 93 years. Preceded in death by his parents, Augustus and Veronica Safiejko; and brothers, John Safiejko, Craig (the late Katherine) Stanley and Rev. Joseph Safiejko. Loving brother of Jenny (Oscar) Hudson, Helen (the late Stanley) Gryczkowski and Mary (the late Larry) Sams. Further survived by loving nieces, nephews, other family, brother priests, former parishioners and friends. Fr. Safiejko was ordained to the priesthood on May 29, 1948 by the Most Reverend M.E. Kiley at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in Milwaukee. Father's priestly ministry began as an Associate Pastor at St. Alexander Parish in Milwaukee. Father also served as Associate Pastor at St. Hyacinth, Milwaukee; St. Adalbert, Milwaukee; St. Casimir, Milwaukee and St. Mary Magdalen, Milwaukee. He was named Pastor at St. Mary, Fox Lake in and at St. Charles Borromeo, Milwaukee in 1971 and remained there until his retirement in January of 2000. Visitation on Wednesday, May 16, 2018, 9:30 AM-11:45 AM at ST. CHARLES BORROMEO, 3100 W. Parnell Ave., Milwaukee. Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial at 12 Noon. Interment St. Adalbert Cemetery.
