Obituary

Raymond Lawrence Malone, Sr, born August 24, 1939 went home to be with the God he loved, and studied about his entire life on Friday morning, September 11, 2020. He was the husband of the late Mary Ann Malone (nee Fraser), and father of six children: Madalyn (Terry) Willing Martin, Ray Malone Jr, the late James (Tracy) Malone, Cindy (Carlos) Mondragon, the late Jon Malone, and Sandy Malone. Brother of Carol Stewart. And oh, how he loved his grandchildren! Ed Willing II; Sarah Kelly and Jenna Malone; Lance II, Ryan, Nathan, Jacob, Joshua, Lucas Taylor, and Samuel Lijewski; and Ray's soon-to-be newest grandchild Baby Mondragon, will miss him greatly. Our godly patriarch also leaves behind some delightful great-grandchildren: Riley Willing; and Anthony, Malijah, and Lennox Mendoza. He delighted in them, and they loved to hear his laugh. Raymond also loved and will be truly missed by Deloris (the late Jerry) Sikora, Rosemary (the late Jack) Kelly; and Lance Lijewski; as well as other loved ones who went before him: Juanita (Dick) Stolzenfeld, Tom Fraser, and Steve Fraser; as well as Ed Willing. So many friends and extended family throughout the years are remembered for their place in Ray's life as well. A special thanks to Providence Home Health and Hospice; especially Melanie, Etta, and Claudia. Though our hearts are so broken by the loss of our dear father, there is a great peace that encompasses us, knowing that he has reunited with our desperately missed mother and brothers; experiencing a joy beyond our understanding, and certainly beyond what this world could ever offer. No more pain, no more suffering, no more tears or body breaking down. Strong legs, dancing shoes, and we can hear him cracking jokes and singing with clear speech. We are so happy for you, Dad. We know you'll be worshipping your precious Savior, whom you've now seen face to face, when we reunite with you in heaven. Ray was a roofer in his younger years, and mentored his sons Ray Jr. & Jim in the business. He was so proud as they followed in his footsteps and became successful roofers as well. He lived 81 long years, surviving many health challenges that would have taken others much earlier. He passed on at home, peacefully and without pain, with family at his side in Portland, OR. He is being brought back to his hometown of Milwaukee, WI where he will he laid to rest by the side of his beloved wife Mary Ann. After visitation, the funeral service will be conducted by Ray's beloved Pastor, spiritual mentor, and friend, Rev. Phil Shaw. A time of food and fellowship will follow. Visitation at the Funeral Home Sunday, September 20, 2020 from 2-5pm. Funeral Services at 5pm. Food & Fellowship following service; location will be announced. For all who knew Ray, Mary Ann, or their children over the years, we would love for you to come honor his life and what it meant. All Covid-19 precautions are being taken, in a safe and inviting manner. We look forward to seeing you or hearing from you about the impact of his 81 years on this earth. Service will be livestreamed: Click here to view the stream.
