Besasie, Raymond Jr.
Born to Eternal Life March 19, 2024 at the age of 90. Loving husband of Caroline (nee Purpero). Cherished father of Raymond Bisesi, Gressi Bisesi, Roslyn (David) Radke, Marilyn (Donald Unverrich) Besasie and Carlo (Wendi) Besasie. Beloved grandfather of Vince, Gina, Rosalia, Joseph, John, Christian, Serafina, Peter, Charles, Terese, and Catie. Dear brother of Fred and Joseph (Virginia) Besasie.
Also survived by great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by his sister Joanne (the late Frank) Greiczek.
Ray was proud of his military service. He served in the United States Army as a helicopter mechanic and an air traffic controller.
Ray's hobbies were race car driving, golf, and landscaping. He loved cars, especially Excaliburs and Jaguars; he was known as the "Jaguar Man." Ray and his brother invented their own car, the BACI. He loved his dog companions Shushi, Lady, and Vinnie.
Ray also loved to travel. He would take his family on long road trips around the country, visiting almost all the states and many national parks.
Ray will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
The family would like to express a special thank you to Clement J. Zablocki Veterans Administration Medical Center, Amedisys Home Health Care Services, and Warren Willams, Registered Nurse/Case Manager for their compassionate support.
Family and Friends are welcome to gather at St. John The Evangelist Parish for a family hosted service, 8500 W. Cold Spring Road, Greenfield, visitation on April 4, 2024 at 11:00 am with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 12:00 pm.
Private interment at Southern Wisconsin Veteran's Memorial Cemetery.
