Correa, Raul H. Sr.
Called home on Sunday, November 12, 2017. Age 88 years. Beloved husband of 58 years to the late Maria Guadalupe. Loving dad of Raul L. (Suzanne) Correa Jr., Rodolfo L. (Mary) Correa and Rachel S. (Kevin) Doney. Cherished grandpa of Sergio (Carla), Vicente (Brigit), Zachary, Monique, Julian (Marissa), Adam, Alex (Angela) and Yolanda (Nick). Special great grandpa of Giovanna, Cayleb, Samuel, Julian, Henry, Yuliana Rose Marie and Xavier. Brother of Marina, Jose Ramiro, Carmen, Dora and Juan. Preceded in death by his sisters Elena and Maria.
From Crystal City, Texas, he settled in Milwaukee in the late 1940's and brought his love of music & talents that helped pioneer the beginning of hispanic musical culture to the hispanic community of Milwaukee and beyond. He inspired other local musicians to continue the proud tradition of latin music in southeastern Wisconsin. He had participated in the orchestra that had opened for various national & famous international latin entertainers. Raul was a performer and manager of Nacho Zaragoza y Orquesta Sensacion, La Sonora Sensacion, Trio Lone Star, Trio Del Norte and Los Trovadores. He was a 50 year member of Milwaukee Musicians Union and performer with Panorama Hispano of Channel 10/36 in the 1970s. Raul retired from Ladish Co. after more than 40 years of service.
Visitation THURSDAY, November 16, 2017 at The Church Of The Immaculate Conception, 1023 E. Russell Ave from 10-12 Noon. Mass of Christian Burial at 12 Noon. Entombment to follow at St. Adalbert Cemetery.
