Ramon Saavedra Born to Eternal Life on Friday, December 10, 2021. Age 67 years. Beloved husband for 46 years of Maria. Loving father of Maria Guadalupe (Oscar) Valdez, Filiberto Saavedra (Mayra Trujillo) and Ramon Jr. Saavedra. Cherished grandpa of Jazmin, Byanca, Michelle, Tony, Oscar Jr., and Jona Valdez; Miguel, Filiberto, Leonardo, Reymundo and Damian Saavedra; Alyssa and A.J. Saavedra. Dear brother and father of Martin Saavedra, Raquel Saavedra, Jesus Saavedra, Dolores Saavedra and Gloria Saavedra. Preceded in death by his parents Filiberto Saavedra and Maria Ramirez. Further survived by many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Visitation Sunday, December 19, 2021 from 4-8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial Monday 12:30 PM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 605 S. 4th St. Milwaukee. Interment to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Ramon was born in Leon, GTO Mexico on August 9, 1954. At the age of 12 he took on the role of a father figure when his father died. In 1975 Ramon married the love of his life Maria. Later that year he immigrated to the United States in search of a better life for his wife, mother and siblings. Having settled in Milwaukee Ramon and Maria raised their 3 children on the southside. He worked as an independent contractor for much of his working career. He specialized in roofing and siding. He was a strong and responsible individual, always putting family first.
