Ralph was a U.S. Air Force veteran serving during World War II, retiring after 21 years of service to his country. Ralph was also a retiree of the U.S. Postal Service after 18 years as the Postmaster in Big Bend, a volunteer fireman for 40 years with the Big Bend/Vernon Fire Department, lifetime member of the VFW, member of the Badger State Carvers and the Big Bend Lions Club.
