Phillip David Hanson

Born to the late Phillip Olaf and Grace Juanita (nee Smith) Hanson on April 24, 1950, died on June 10, 2026, age 76.

Loving brother of Linda (Ken) Antaramian, Paul Hanson and the late Gary Hanson. Proud and cherished father of Gina Lee Hanson and the late David James Hanson. Loving grandfather of Nathan Bandt, Ian (Amanda) Gleason and Zia Peck. Also survived by nieces and nephews (present and late) cousins, other family and many dear friends.

Phillip worked for Grede-Foundries of Milwaukee, WI for 30 years and then went on to follow his love for the trades, working for Crown Hardware and Plumbing Supply, which allowed his talent and expertise to continue to shine.

Phillip was an avid reader and a talented poet, a gift inherited by his late mother. His writings will leave forever imprints.

Phillip was a man of simple pleasures who spent his life raising his children to believe in the value of family always being first and of the importance of strong work ethic being a requirement in all that you do. His love for all sports, including the Wisconsin Badgers, Green Bay Packers, but especially for our hometown Milwaukee Brewers was undeniable! Game day get-togethers and making meals together was always a family highlight.

Phillip will be deeply missed by many as he has now been welcomed by those who have gone before him and will forever be in our daily thoughts.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Milwaukee Humane Society in Phillip's name is appreciated by the family. Phillip was a supporter of this organization where he adopted the late Hilda, his four-legged companion of 14 years.

Casual attire, sports team apparel and cheerful colors are encouraged as this service is a time for celebration.
