Born to Eternal Life on Saturday, December 24, 2022. Age 82 years. Beloved husband for 53 years of Catherine. Loving dad of Christopher (Beverly) Peychal and Stephanie Peychal (David Gagliano). Cherished "G" of Isabella Peychal and Lazarus (Britany) Ramlow. Dear great-grandfather of Genevieve Ramlow. Dear brother of John (Yvonne) Peychal. Brother-in-law of Richard Hebein (Mark Kimball) and Christine (John) McGrody. Further survived by many cousins, other family members, friends and his treasured St. Francis Seminary High School Class of 1958 Classmates.
Visitation Wednesday, January 4, 2023 from 10-11 AM at Resurrection Cemetery Chapel, 9400 W Donges Bay Rd, Mequon. Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM with interment to follow.
Phil was a 1958 graduate of St. Francis Seminary High School. He then graduated from Marquette University with a degree in Political Science. He then furthered his studies at the University of Wisconsin - Madison where he earned his Masters Degree. He was a retiree of the Telephone Company after 30 plus years of service. He was a longtime member of the Wisconsin Geology Society. After retirement, Phil took his love of geology to Kessler's Diamond Center and worked there for 2 years.
He was a longtime and active member of St. Charles Borromeo Church. There he served on the church's first parish council, and was a former Trustee Secretary As well as serving on the Technology Committee.
Phil budgeted his words well. His actions spoke for himself more than words ever could. He lived for his wife, children and grandchildren. His life was dedicated to them as well as educating himself. Whether learning geology or auditing courses at University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee, Phil was always learning.
Phil was a lifelong fan of The Wisconsin Badgers Football Program and was a season ticket holder for 10 years. He loved caring for his lawn a skill he learned from his dad. The grass was greenest at Phil and Catherine's home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Phil's name can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital - Comprehensive Cancer Center.
