During World War II Phil served as an instructor for Army aviation cadets. After the war he accepted a job with Pan American Grace Airlines in Peru, South America. After this he flew a Beech 18 for the Trostel Tannery and retired flying Falcon jets for Northwestern Mutual Life. Philip and Wanda enjoyed traveling most of the world together throughout their 55 years of marriage. Phil was a longtime member of Tippecanoe, serving as an Elder and Deacon. He also was a member of the QBs (Quiet Birdman) and volunteered as a docent at the Milwaukee Public Museum. Special thanks to the caregivers at Seven Oaks and the hospice nurses who loved and cared for our father. Memorials to the Tippecanoe Fund of Remembrance appreciated.
Philip loved his career, many of his children followed with careers in aviation as well. But what defined his life was his love and pride for his wife and children.
