Rody, Perpetua "Sophie" " Socorro " ( Medina ). Peacefully passed away on Tuesday morning March 23,2021 at age of 73 with her loving Granddaughter by her side. Cherished Mother of Natasha Rody (Anthony Lazaro), Felicita Rody, and Stepdaughter Laura Rody. Beloved Grandmother of Shardai Rody and Jose Manuel Santos. Great-grandmother of Eli Cruz and Zayn Flores. Also survived by her loving nieces Jessica Torres-Jenkins,Carmen Angelica Questell and nephew Juan Jose Torres. Dear Sister to late Maria Medina, Felicita Medina, Fabian Medina and Ramon Medina. Good friend to Tiffany Dane. She will be dearly missed by many family members and friends. Perpetua Medina Cordero was born on March 7th,1948 in Caguas,Puerto Rico. She was one of the youngest of her 10 siblings. She left Puerto Rico in her teens, move to Chicago and then started her family life in Milwaukee in her 20s. She was a hardworking mother, Childcare Provider for the State of Wisconsin, and a business women that owned a Daycare Center. She volunteer at the Indian Community School on her free time, she liked to travel, enjoyed music/dancing , going to the casinos, nature walks, doing crafts (bead work), and going to her favorite restaurants. Most of all, spending time with family and her Grandchildren (great grandchildren). Everyone that was close to her,consider her a second Mom and the kids in the neighborhood called her Grandma. She was loving, a healer, protector, spiritual, leader, adviser, independent, teacher, tough as nails,very strong willed, great sense of humor and intuitive.
