During the early morning hours of Sunday, July 7 2019, with his family by his side, Pedro joined his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in Heaven. He is survived by his mother, Guadalupe Escobedo and is preceded in death by his father, Jose Garcia. Pedro was a loving brother and will be deeply missed by his sister Diana Rodriguez, and his brothers Adan and Jose. He is also remembered by his brother Memo and his sister Lupita. Pedro was an endearing and loving uncle to his many nieces and nephews. He leaves behind other family members and friends, including his spouse, Teresa and her son Eduardo. Pedro will be remembered for his sense of humor, culinary passion and love for his family and friends. He shared his happiness and joy with everyone around him, making people laugh with his great personality and jokes. He definitely caught a few doctors and nurses off guard while in their care! Pedro pursued his passion of grilling and smoking food by launching his catering business, Senor Smoke Catering. He shared his talents over and over again with his community, friends, colleagues and family. Pedro has been a part of so many kitchens over the years, far too many to name them all, but of notable mention is his experience as Executive Chef for Potawatomi Hotel and Casino and Hectors Mexican Restaurant. Pedro was always eager to pass along his knowledge, recipes, tips and tricks to those around him. He made special efforts to prepare a meal for those who visited him, even if he wasnt feeling well. The night before he passed, Pedro assisted our family with the preparation of his very own Chicken Mole recipe. It took extreme effort, but he persisted in love, and completed the meal. And, Oh!
