Paula Marina Winston-Gaspie

Born to Eternal Life on Saturday, May 25, 2024. Age 68 years. Beloved wife of Joseph Gaspie for 28 wonderful years. Daughter of Mary (nee Pegis) and Harold Winston Adored sister of Drs. Evonne (The late Dr. Paul Nausieda) & Tina Winston. Loving daughter-in-law of Dorothy Gaspie and the late Joseph D. Gaspie. Dear sister-in-law of the late Debby (Tommy) Klosky, Linda Dolney, Dar Gaspie, the late Mark Gaspie, Mike (Jim) Gaspie, the late Dainty-Dot Gaspie and Suzy (Charlie) Reiff. Dear aunt of Anton Nausieda (Nicole) and Dr. Ivan Nausieda. Dear great-aunt of Harrison, Marielle and Juliette. Further survived by many other family members and dear friends.

Throughout her life Paula enjoyed gardening, weeding and growing flowers. She had a love for wildlife. Paula would absorb herself in listening to cardinals communicating with each other; watching robins staking claim on the bird bath and serviceberry tree; and obeying the demands of the chipmunks and squirrels for more peanuts. Over the years, she also cared deeply for her adopted companions Zowie, Coco, Bella, Chelsea, Nikki, Rosie and Laddie.

Paula had a deep love of music. She was a David Bowie fan before the masses knew that he was cool and was an early devotee of Cheap Trick. She also enjoyed attending concerts, including Bruce Springsteen, REM and the Rolling Stones.

Paula had a lifelong passion for social justice. She was a champion for the underdog and had a keen understanding of local and national politics. She was an avid fan of golf and baseball.
