Obituary

Passed away peacefully, just as he lived, at the age of 98 on September 2, 2008. He was born on November 9, 1909, to the late Adam and Anna Zelibapka, the third of eleven children. Following the death of his mother, the family moved to Cudahy from Illinois where Paul helped to raise his brothers and sisters, whom he greatly loved all of his life. On April 11, 1942, he was joined in marriage to Clara Weber. They enjoyed married life for 60 years. He was a proud veteran of WWII. Paul was an employee of Allis Chalmers until he entered into retirement to help care for the grandchildren that he greatly cherished and loved. A lifelong member of St. Joseph's Church in Cudahy, he always put his faith first and was a constant demonstration to others of what it truly meant to live a life of Christianity. Paul was a member of the Jednota Slovak Society, as well as the American Legion. He was an avid Cincinnati Reds fan for over 80 years. Preceded in death by his wife, Clara (nee Weber). Proud and devoted father of Sharon (Marvin) Hipp. Most cherished and loved grandfather of Dean (Lisa) Hipp, Dyonne (Rick) Wilhelm, Dana (Tim) Farber, Matt Fasig and Julie (Al) Wilde. Special and treasured great-grandpa to Marisa and Tyler Hipp, Alexa and Brenna Wilhelm, Sydney and Karley Farber, along with two great-grandchildren yet to be born. Dear brother of Emily Stapelton. Preceded in death by his loving brothers Adam, August, William, John, Joe, Fr. Charles and Tony, and his sisters Anne Klein and Mary Benson. Fond brother-in-law of Emma Zale, Marge Zell, Josephine Budzinski, Adeline Goniwicha, Lilly Schilz, Shirley Weber and George (Jean) Weber. Most special uncle to Pat Zale, who helped care for Paul during his final months. Further survived by his daughter Carol Zale, nieces, nephews and other relatives. Special thanks to his niece Dr. Antoinette Zell, his nephew Dr. Chuck Klein and Dr. Daniel Nordin for the compassionate and loving care they provided Paul. All of their expertise in his treatment was greatly appreciated. Visitation Saturday, September 6, 10-11AM at Divine Mercy Church (695 College Ave., South Milwaukee), with Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM. Entombment Holy Sepulcher Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated. Paul was a humble, generous and loving man each and every day of his long, fulfilled life. Because of that, he will always be missed but never forgotten. PRASSER-KLECZKA South Suburban Chapel 414-282-6080
