Patrick Kris Klepacz was born in Suwalki, Poland on April 16, 1991, and from that moment was cherished by his family. When he was just 6 months old, his loving mother bought him over to the United States to meet his caring father, but his Polish roots remained strong throughout his life and so did the love for him there. He grew up in Milwaukee where he attended St. Gregory the Great School and Polish Sunday School. After finishing St. Greg's, where he made many great friends, he attended Franklin High School, where he also met many friends who he stayed in contact with afterwards and even was awarded "most contagious laugh." After Franklin High, he went on to the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, where he achieved a double major in International Business and Economics with a minor in Polish.
While searching for a career following graduation, Patrick crossed paths with the love of his life – Weronika – who was working in Sheboygan on a student exchange program from Poland. Shortly after, Patrick found a job in Sheboygan to be closer to his love. After the two decided to get married, they moved back to Milwaukee where Patrick chose a career in nonprofit work and gave back to his community. It had always been Patrick's dream to marry a Polish wife.
Those who knew Patrick, even for a second, knew that his personality could light the room and his laugh could reach even further. Patrick had a huge heart and took interest in art, food, and music. Patrick was always down for an adventure, whether it was trying a new taco truck, skydiving for his mom's birthday, or trying the mystery Slurpee flavor at 7-11; Patrick was ready for it.
Patrick was the first-born son of Kris and Jolanta Klepacz and will forever remain so in their hearts. He will be remembered for his passionate soul and placing those he cared about above himself. He always strove to make his parents proud and he did so.
Patrick was an unmatched husband who was infatuated by his wife. His wife had waited her whole life to meet such a gentleman, her dream man, her best friend, and she had. While the two were just beginning their journey through life together, they already shared more laughs and memories than most couples will in a lifetime. Making plans for forever, even getting matching tattoos to last them the length, the two were partners that could take on life's toughest challenges together. He was all that she had in this foreign country, for better or for worse, and has left her lost, but she will always love him dearly for "eva' eva'" and never forget the special moments they shared together.
He was a caring, loving brother to his younger brother Peter. The two were very close throughout their short time together but had many fond experiences. Peter always knew he could depend on his brother and the two would go to any lengths to protect each other. Peter always looked up to his older brother who now looks over him. While the loss has left his brother shattered, they were fortunate to grow up and travel the world together; making many memories that his brother will carry on in his heart forever.
The love for Patrick extends far beyond the United States: grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins are heartbroken by the loss of Patrick, but remember him as a true angel – sharing love, kindness and joy to anyone who he encountered.
While Patrick did not yet have children, he is survived by his loving dog Zola. Who he chose to take-in despite knowing his lease did not allow for it, and refused to give her up even in the face of eviction – just one example of what a loving, caring person he was.
The world is a lesser place without Patrick in it, and his family will never be the same, but we must remember the good times we had with Patrick. He loved to laugh and dance, so we must try to do the same to honor what a truly great human he was.
While it would never be long enough, you are gone far too soon, Patrick, but you will never be forgotten.
