Obituary

Walked the Spirit Path on Saturday, November 26, 2022, age 67 years. Beloved companion of Joann Grabowski for 28 years. Dear brother of Michael, Kevin (Janet) and Daniel. Cherished stepson of Karin De Nomie. Loving uncle of Tyler, Jordan and the late Joshua. Dear great-uncle of Aiden and Joshua De Nomie. Preceded in death by his parents Russell and Mary Lee De Nomie, and his aunts; Sharon Hamann, Ramona De Nomie, Ellen (Arthur) Quade, Lanell Koziatek. Further survived by Joann's children; Dennis, Andrea (Brendan) Reinke and Marissa Grabowski and nine of their grandchildren; Madison Clary, Jerzie Clary, Audrina Reinke, Eliza Grabowski, Elena Reinke, Ian Clary, Cody Clary, Athena Reinke and Brian Sorger.

Patrick proudly served our country in the US Army as a tank crewman with H Company 2nd Squadron 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment. He then served in the US Navy as a crewman aboard the USS Okinawa until medically retired following a near fatal injury wherein he used his belt to tourniquet his badly mangled right arm. Diagnosed with throat cancer seven years ago, Patrick survived, only to develop stage 4 lung cancer which he battled successfully for years, finally succumbing today to the cancer. Throughout his often pain filled life, Patrick touched and inspired thousands of others who struggled and he left this world a better place. We love you Patrick, see you on the other side.

The family would like to thank the entire staff at the Clement Zablocki VA Medical Center Outpatient Oncology Hematology Clinic, and the staff on the cancer floor ICU and everyone else he knew there, for the care and compassion they showed Patrick in his time of need.
