Patricia Ann Skrobis

Patricia Ann Skrobis (née Byrne), age 81, passed away unexpectedly on September 4, 2026, leaving her family and friends to cherish a lifetime of memories.

Born to Jerome and Pearl Byrne, Pat was the beloved wife of Robert "Bob" Skrobis, with whom she shared 61 years of marriage. Together, they built a life centered on family, faith, and time spent together.

She was the proud and devoted mother of Mark (the late Amy) Skrobis, Jennifer (Andrew) Potters, Judith (David) Radovich, and Andrew (Gretchen) Skrobis. Pat was a loving grandmother to Elliot (Jamie), Jacob, and Nathan Skrobis; Mallory and Evan Potters; Jeremy (fiancée Sophie Nunez) and Joshua Radovich; and Elizabeth, Anna, and John Skrobis. Her grandchildren were a tremendous source of pride and joy, and she loved being there to support their many interests and accomplishments. Whether cheering them on from the sidelines or proudly watching from the audience, Pat rarely missed an opportunity to be there for their sporting events, musical performances, motorcycle building, carpentry, and other pursuits.

Pat is also survived by her brother-in-law, Richard (Carol) Skrobis, as well as a loving collection of cousins, nieces, nephews, and other extended family members who will miss her dearly.

Pat spent many years as a teacher, including at Southwood Glen Elementary School in Franklin and St. John the Evangelist. Teaching was a natural extension of her caring and generous spirit, and she touched the lives of many students throughout her career.

She happily spent her summers surrounded by her award-winning gardens and a backyard pool filled with her children and their neighborhood friends and, in later years, her grandchildren. Her home was a place where family and friends were always welcome and where many happy summer memories were made.

Following her retirement, Pat and Bob enjoyed traveling together and, most of all, having the time to be present for the milestones and everyday moments of their growing family. Pat also enjoyed sewing and quilting, creating beautiful pieces with the same patience and care she brought to so much of her life.

Her Catholic faith was an important part of who she was and a source of strength throughout her life. Pat will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her generous heart, and the joy she found in simply being together with those she loved.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 14, 2026, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 3100 W. Parnell Avenue, Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53221. The family will receive relatives and friends beginning at 9:00 a.m., with Mass to follow at 11:00 a.m.
