Died at her home Wednesday morning, January 28, 2009, with her family around her at the age of 54 years. Patricia is survived by her husband, H. Carl Mueller, and six children: Erika, Kirsten, Keegan (Rebecca Goldberger) Pavlik, Carl John, Annaliese and Isaiah. She is further survived by brothers Michael (Diane), Kevin (Linda), Hugh (Teri), Timothy (Tami) , Lawrence (Wendy), John and sisters Colleen, Bridget, Maureen and Carrie (Tony) Castillo. Preceded in death by her parents, John and Barbara Kelly. Also survived by one grandson, many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, other relatives and many close friends. Dedicated to helping the most challenged and disadvantaged urban youth with their education, Patricia devoted her professional career to teaching emotionally disturbed special education students. After teaching, doing research and supervising special education teachers in the Racine Unified School District she moved to Milwaukee where she helped co-found the first private foundation to assist a Milwaukee Public School. The German Immersion Foundation now supports both the Milwaukee German Immersion School (elementary school) and the Milwaukee School of Languages (high school). Visitation at the Funeral Home FRIDAY, January 30th, 4 to 8 PM. A memorial service will be held SUNDAY, February 1st, 2 PM at the OLYMPIA BROWN UNITARIAN UNIVERSALIST CHURCH, 625 College Ave., Racine. Private interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Racine.
