Patricia Anne “Pat” Koehler (nee Kolo), age 90, lately of Greenfield, WI, was born to eternal life on August 3rd, 2026.

She had been a devoted wife to her husband of nearly 69 years, Alfred, and a loving mother to Jeffrey Koehler, Annette McCarron, Kathleen Morrow, and Elizabeth Koehler. She is survived by her sister, Constance Konrad, her husband, Alfred, her children and their spouses, five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and a multitude of nieces, nephews, and other extended family. She is preceded in death by her parents, John F. Kolo, Sr. and Genevieve T. Kolo (nee Laven), her brother, John F. Kolo, Jr., her sister Margaret (Tom) Price, and her grandchild Alexander Koehler.

Born in Oklahoma, Pat grew up with her brother and two sisters on various U.S. Army bases from Oklahoma to Ohio to North Carolina, her childhood following her father's military career wherever it took him.

A graduate of Pius XI High School in Milwaukee, Pat grew from a self-proclaimed tomboy as a young girl, into a kind, creative and clever woman, who enjoyed painting (she took classes for a time), needlepoint, knitting, cross-stitch, paper quilling, and various other crafts, as well as jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles, word games of all kinds, and logic puzzles. Pat was an avid reader and always embraced opportunities to learn something new.

She used many of her crafts and creations to decorate the welcoming home she made for her family. She was proud of her role as homemaker, and even belonged to a homemaker’s club in her neighborhood in Brookfield, WI, in the 1980s. Once her youngest had grown, Pat decided to revisit her secretarial skills, and took the position of school secretary at St. Luke Catholic School for a number of years (the family were members of St. Luke Catholic Church). There, she found warmth and an additional purpose, and met many friends with whom she would keep in touch well after leaving Wisconsin to retire with her husband in Murray, KY, a home she dearly loved, despite the occasional “spotter” (a species known up north as a spider). While living in Murray, Pat was an active member of St. Leo Catholic Church and the Murray Art Guild, a nonprofit community art center.

A visitation for Patricia will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2026 at St. Luke Catholic Church located at 18000 W. Greenfield Avenue in Brookfield starting at 9AM with a funeral mass to follow at 11AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations would be appreciated to either St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Boys Town.
