On June 7, 1952, she married William Hughes in Beloit, WI. William preceded her in death on May 10, 1990. Pat began working at Frito-Lay and later for Beloit Iron Works. After her marriage to Bill, the couple moved to Milwaukee where she also worked for Rex Chain Belt. Pat worked at the Medical Surgical Clinic on W. Lincoln Ave for 35 years. After Pat retired in 1991, she volunteered at the Blood Center of Wisconsin. In April 1996, Pat went back to work, this time for Walgreens, where she continued to work until she became ill in February of 2011. Pat was a caring wife, loving mother, a dear and loyal friend, and a true servant to everyone around her. She loved her family and life. Pat was always there to lend a helping hand, a bit of wisdom, or a good laugh to anyone around her. She will be missed by her family and many people in the communities where she worked. She was also a member of St. John the Evangelist in Greenfield WI. Pat is survived by her son Charles "Toby" Hughes of Montello, WI, three foster sons, Michael Hughes and Paul Crosby, both from Las Vegas NV, and Lance Gelhaar. Pat is also survived by her brothers Andrew (Lois) Yealey of Mondovi, WI, James (Selma) Bonewald of Waterford, WI and her sister Kay (James) Mackey of Beloit WI, several nieces, nephews and many special friends, too numerous to mention. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, her brother George, and special friend Clarence Luedtke. The family is respecting Pat's request that there be no funeral services for her. Memorials in her name may be sent to the Make a Wish Foundation of Wisconsin (13195 W. Hampton Ave Butler WI 53007). PRASSER-KLECZKA BAY VIEW CHAPEL 3275 So. Howell Ave. 414-483-2322
