Obituary

Patricia Ann (nee Grasse) Drews, 63, of Oak Creek, was welcomed into the arms of her Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, September 2, 2004. Patricia was born in Milwaukee on June 2, 1941, the firstborn daughter of Armend and Norma (Reed) Grasse. She graduated from Custer High School in 1959. On January 23, 1960, Patricia married her loving and dutiful soulmate of 44 years, Rev. Roger Ph. Drews. Patricia faithfully served her Lord as she worked side-by-side with her husband in the ministry at Burnsville, MN; Oak Creek; Woodbury, MN; China Grove, NC and Madisonville, KY. Patricia earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Concordia University-St. Paul Oswald Hoffman School of Christian Outreach in 1986 and served as a director of outreach in Asheville, NC. Patricia enjoyed collecting angels, Holly Hobbies, reading, directing handbell choirs, sewing and cooking. Her crowning achievement and her pride and joy were her family, her children and 8 grandchildren, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Hannah, Nicholas, Christine, Jason, Jake and Samuel whom she loved with an incomparable devotion: She also generously opened her heart and home to care for 12 foster children, two of whom she adopted. Patricia is survived by her husband, her mother, her children Daniel (Wendy) of Adrian, MI; Joel (Susan) of Southgate, MI; Mark (Melanie) of Hilbert; Jonathan (Lisa) of Cary, IL; Laurel of Fairbanks, AK; Linda (James) Bullock of Hickory, NC and Jennifer (fiancé Daniel Lang) at home. She is further survived by her grandchildren, sisters and brothers-in-law Darlene (Eric) Thoresen and Cheryl (Frank) Jacob, Douglas (Jodi) Drews and Evelyn Drews, nieces, nephews, other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, her brothers, Jerry and Jeffery Grasse and sister, Melanie Geise. Funeral Services will be conducted on Sunday, September 5 at 5:00 P.M. at ST. JOHN'S EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH 6700 So. Howell Ave. Oak Creek, the Rev Kenneth Kratz officiating. Visitation will be prior to the funeral service beginning at 3:00 PM. Private committal will take place on Tuesday morning. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be directed to St. John's Lutheran Church-Music Ministry. I know that my Redeemer lives-what comfort this sweet sentence gives! PRASSER-KLECZKA South Suburban Chapel 414-282-6080
