IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Patrica Ann
Miller
December 4, 1933 – February 16, 2025
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Patricia Ann Miller, at the age of 91. Pat passed away peacefully at home on February 16th, 2025, surrounded by the loving presence of her family.
A lifelong fighter, Pat had been an incredibly active nonagenarian until a series of unexpected strokes in the fall of 2024 cut short her vibrant lifestyle. For five months, she fought tirelessly to return to the life she cherished, but ultimately, the toll on her body and age proved too great.
Born in Racine, Wisconsin, Pat was one of twelve children. She was preceded in death by her mother, Bernice Miller Rymenams; father, Floyd Miller; stepfather, Gus Rymanams; and siblings Joyce Anderson, Betty Mendan, Donna Schust, Victor Legler, James Miller, Jerome Miller, Duane Rymenams, Harry Rymenams, Barbara Compton, and life partner James Biersack.
She is survived by her children: Susan Miller, Michael Parise, Joe (Wendy) Parise, Diane (Gregg) Parise Bridge, and "adopted" son Walter (Kellie) Davitz. She also leaves behind her grandchildren: Jamie Parise, Joey (Stephanie) Parise, Angela (Chris) Krake, Ricky (Kaleigh) Serrano, Samantha (Matt Compton) Serrano, Alyssa (Chad) Fischer, Alexis Parise, Mathew Riedlin, and Keegan Riedlin, Jackie, Phillip and Erica Bridge; her great-grandchildren: Dominic Debassige, Ariana Matias, Kamari Parise, Austin Krake, Mya Krake, Evelyn Fischer, Aria Fischer, Enrique Parise, Frankie Souger, and Alana Parise; her great-great-grandchildren: Aticus Debassige, Prince Vidal Parise, and Ezekiel Angelo Parise. She is also survived by her sisters Susan Miller & John Roetzer, Yvonne Craft, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends including a very dear family friend Christine Biersack.
Pat gave herself selflessly to everyone around her even when she needed what she had for herself, to help family and friends first. She adored her family beyond words, and she hated being separated from her beloved fur babies. Every night, she would ask for her "kids" who would dive under the covers with her, bringing comfort and joy to her evenings. She loved sitting at the kitchen table drinking her coffee and watching the deer in the backyard every morning.
In her retirement, Pat devoted 25 years to volunteering at Children's Hospital, a job she loved deeply, especially her time spent with the children there. She also enjoyed water aerobics, shopping, and driving her cherished Buick, always eager to get out and meet people and have fun. She loved to have her occasional martini, and her beer of choice was always Miller High Life. She loved old school Country Music and big band swing and jazz. Her favorite song was "Rainbow" by Russ Hamilton.
When her memory began to fade, and our names wouldn't come to her, Pat would always say, "I don't remember their names, but I know they belong to me."
Pat loved to sing to her grandchildren: "You are my sunshine, my only sunshine, you make me happy when skies are gray, you'll never know dear, how much I love you, please don't take my sunshine away." Pat will live forever in our hearts and loving memories of our time together. Before too long her sunshine will wash away our tears. That is what she would want for all of us.
