Born on January 1, 1920 and died on February 11, 2012. Beloved husband and very best friend for 72 years of Marie (nee Bjodstrup). Loving father of Darlene (Gary) Lindsay, Diane (Bill Young) Schmidt and David (Suzanne) Polacheck. Preceded in death by his son Dale Polacheck. Proud grandfather of Gary (Kari) Lindsay, Laura (David) Stachnik, Christian (Michele) Lindsay, Michelle (Scott) Godden, William (Terry) Polacheck, Gregory (Kelly) Polacheck, Susan (Patrick) Pegelow, James (Lisa) Polacheck, Kathy (Steve) Findley, Jennifer Gartley, Matthew (Laura) Polacheck and Amy (Steve Felix) Polacheck. Cherished great-grandfather of Alexander, Abigail, Andrew, Annabelle, Athena, Andrea, Danielle, Connor, Reagan, Ian, Justin, Tyler, Lillia, Theo, Edward, Stanley, Tyler, Sierra, Hanna and Caitlin. Dearest brother of Lorraine Jendraszak, the late Esther Domino and of the late Jerry Polacheck. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Bud proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II on the USS LSM 203. Together with his wife he owned and operated Nuway Food Products Company on Milwaukee's South Side. He was a member of Unity Ev. Lutheran Church, Elks Lodge No. 46 (Class of 1961), Southside Business Club, the Milwaukee Southwest Kiwanis Club, the Friends of Mosquito Hill in New London, WI and of the Grant Park Senior Golf. After his family, he most enjoyed hunting, painting, babysitting for his great-grandchildren and golf.
Visitation on Tuesday, February 14, 2012, 12:00 noon-2:00 PM at UNITY EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1025 E. Oklahoma Ave., Funeral Service at 2:00 PM. Private entombment at Arlington Park Cemetery.
