Norbert L. Boinski dedicated himself to a career as a firefighter, a calling that would become his passion and a source of immense pride for the next three decades. Through his commitment and outstanding leadership abilities, Norb rose through the ranks to the esteemed position of Fire Captain for the Milwaukee Fire Department. Norb saved countless lives and homes, leaving an indelible mark on the city he loved.
Beyond his remarkable career, Norb's influence extended far into the community. He embraced his role as President and beloved coach for the Wilson Park Little League Association, embodying the values of sportsmanship, teamwork, and mentorship. Norb's presence was not limited to the baseball field; he extended his tireless efforts to volunteer work, cooking meals, and serving disadvantaged communities in Milwaukee. His selflessness and genuine care for others became a source of inspiration for all who knew him. Norb further exemplified his commitment to the community through his contributions to the Bay View Area Redcats.
Known for his friendly and sociable nature, Norb formed lasting friendships and became a well-known figure in his neighborhood. His years as a firefighter granted him an intimate knowledge of the streets of Milwaukee, navigating them with the precision of a GPS. Norb's cooking was admired by his family and fellow firefighters alike. He always had a joke ready to brighten anyone's day and possessed a lifelong affection for sweet treats, earning him the nickname "Niba" due to his fondness for black licorice candy.
Norb's remarkable mind remained as sharp as a tack, and his memory stayed clear as a crystal until the very end. He loved reading, tending to his lawn and feeding the birds that frequented his backyard. If he wasn't watching a game on TV, he was in the stands cheering on his grandkids. His love for his family knew no bounds, and he took great joy in being a dad and a Pop-Pop.
As we bid farewell to this remarkable man, let us celebrate Norbert L. Boinski's extraordinary life and hold dear the lessons he taught us about resilience, love, and unwavering devotion. Norb will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. We will love you forever Dad.
