Nicole J. "Nikki" Martin D.D.S. (nee Lappen) Found peace on Sunday, January 24, 2021, age 50 years. Beloved wife and best friend of Michael Martin. Cherished and devoted mother of Eve and Aaron. Loving daughter of Pamela Lappen. Dearest sister of Carey Lappen and Shelley (Greg) Simmer. Very fond aunt of Allie Leon. Further survived by other loving family and many, many friends. Nicole was a beautiful soul that found humor in everything and had a smile that lit up every room she entered. She adored her family, and her children were her greatest joy in life. Nicole owned her own dental practice and had previously ran the dental clinics at Milwaukee Health Services and the AIDS Resource Center of WI. She often said that, and she loved to "give people their smiles back". Nicole and her family were active members of Grace Presbyterian Church. Nicole coached volleyball for many years at the Fernwood Montessori School and was extremely proud of all her players. One of Nicole's greatest passions was travel and planning her vacations. Throughout her life, she travelled to over 25 countries and had a goal to have her family visit all 50 states. They made it to 49. In her honor, her family is planning to visit Alaska to complete her goal. Nicole will be greatly missed by many, many people but her spirit and light will shine on forever. The family will be planning a celebration of Nicole's life sometime in the next year when it is safe to gather.
