Kleppin, Nicholas Daniel Jr. "Nick" Found peace on Saturday, April 7, 2012, age 68 years. Preceded in death by his father, Nicolas D. Kleppin Sr.; step-mother, Esther Kleppin and fiance-Shirley Mitchell. Father of Christian Kleppin. Loving step-father of Kevin (fiance-April Merrills) Koehler. Dearest brother of Judy ("Buzz") Eckert and Gail (John) Vella. Fond uncle of Brian Bennish, Wendy (Chris) Kotte, GiGi Collins, Joe and Tom Vella. Further survived by his "grandkids", Stephen and Andrew Merrills. Also survived by other family and friends. Nick was a retiree of the City of Milwaukee-Department of Sanitation and a US Army veteran. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed photography and playing cribbage and was a Wisconsin college and professional sports fan. A sincere thank you to the staff at Zilber Family Hospice, for the loving and tender care you gave Nick. Visitation at the Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 17, 2012, 4:00-7:00 PM. Visitation also on Wednesday, 10:0-11:00 AM, funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Interment and military honors to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are appreciated.
