Nicola (Nicholas) Grasso, age 90, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on August 21st, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family. Nicholas was born on October 15th, 1931 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to the late Francesco and Maria (Puleo) Grasso.
On February 25th, 1961, Nicholas married the love of his life, Teresa (Matera) Grasso in Aspra, Sicily. Nicholas spent every day of his life loving and taking care of her and their four children.
Nicholas is survived by his wife, Teresa (Matera) Grasso, his four children, Salvatore Grasso, Domenico (Giovanna) Grasso, Giuseppe (Michele) Grasso, Maria (Milan) Rajkovic, his grandchildren, dog Lucy, and many other beloved family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Frank (Marilyn) Grasso and Rosario (Maria) Grasso, beloved in-laws, and long-time friends.
Nicholas was a dedicated member of Pompeii Church and St. Joseph Association in the Third Ward. He committed many hours to the Catholic Church through his faith and devotion.
Nicholas was a 25-year employee of General Printing, among other various employments. Over everything, he brought his strong work ethic and values every day to make sure that he provided a life for his family.
Nicholas lived his life to the fullest through simple pleasures; talking with family and friends, playing cards, snacking, watching old movies like The Godfather, celebrating holidays, sending flowers to his wife, and singing and dancing. His sharp memory allowed him to share stories of his lifetime memories. Nicholas had an ability to reach people in the most sincere and positive way with his kind heart.
Family, friends, and others whose lives Nicholas touched are invited to attend the Visitation on Friday, August 26th from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Prasser-Kleczka Funeral Home, South Suburban Chapel at 6080 S. 27th St. Milwaukee, WI 53221. On Saturday, August 27th please join us at 11:00 AM at St. Alphonsus, 6000 W Loomis Rd. Greendale, WI 53129 for Mass of Christian Burial followed by his Christian burial at Holy Cross Cemetery at 7301 W. Nash St. Milwaukee, WI 53216.
