Died peacefully on Tuesday, January 20, 2004. Age 81 years. Beloved husband and best friend for 53 years of Carolyn (nee Malone). Loving father of Shari (Marshall)Smith-Mead, Lori (Richard) Futh and Lesli Smith. Cherished grandfather of Rachel. Dear brother of Russell (the late Helen), C. James (Evelyn) and Allen (Nancy) Smith. Brother-in-law of Dr. John A. (Kristie) Malone. Also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends. Visitation at the Funeral Home SUN. 1-4 PM. Mike was a member of Greendale Community Church U.C.C., a retiree of Nordberg Mfg. after 42 years of service and a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Army. He was the past commander of Zamlen-Holman VFW Post 9378, a member of Wisconsin Scottish Rite Bodies, Tripoli Temple, Long Riders, Lake Lodge #189 F&AM, 4 Quarter Club, an avid golfer and Cubs fan.
