Miguel A. "Papo" Torres found eternal peace on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, age 68 years. Survived by the mother of his children, Adela M. Morales. Loving father to Miguel A.Torres, Jr., Juan G. Torres and Elena M. Torres. Grandpa of Lilly Trice, Quentin "Ritto" Trice. Dearest son of Francisca (Negron) Torres. Fond brother of Victor Torres, Rosa Torres, Gloria Cruz, Margie Torres-Gale, Genaro (Gene) Torres, Carlos Torres, Norma Torres, Mary Luz Laureano, Enrique Torres, Lydia Sevilla-Torres and his sister in Christ, Maria Hernandez. Further survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends. Preceded in death Genaro Torres (father) and Ana Torres (sister).

Miguel was born and raised on Milwaukee's south-side to a large family. In his younger years he had many neighborhood friends and played basketball. As he grew, he was in various basketball leagues and played competitively. He loved all things sci-fi, action and martial arts movies. In 1992, he gave his life to the Lord. He served in ministry and touched many lives. He was a hard worker and worked very physical jobs all of his life. He retired from the City of Milwaukee-Department of Public Works after 27 years of service.

He was an animated story-teller, always joking around. He was bold and strong in his principles and beliefs. He loved to eat and particularly loved full, homemade meals. He had an extreme sweet tooth and a love for coffee.

In 2005, he was blessed by Maria Hernandez who donated her kidney which allowed him the opportunity to enjoy life for an additional 19 years and he was very grateful. He truly loved God and was thankful for the gifts he was given, especially his children, who he cherished.
