Zukowski, Michael "Mike" Died peacefully on February 26, 2015. Age 89 years. Beloved husband of the late Veronica (nee Hudson). Dear father of Irene Borucki, the late Ann (John) Jacobs, and Sheila Zukowski. Grandfather of the late Brenda Borucki, Beth (Adrian) Renteria, Katie Jacobs, and Mitchell Peters. Great-grandfather of Samantha Borucki, Summer and Harmony Jacobs, and William Sullivan(father Bill Sullivan). Great-great-grandfather of Imarianna Borucki and Yvette Renteria. Further survived by former son-in-law Tom Borucki, other relatives and friends. Visitation at the Funeral Home TUESDAY, March 3, 2015 from 9-10AM. Funeral 10AM to ST. VERONICA CHURCH (4001 S. Whitnall Ave) for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30AM. Entombment to follow at St. Adalbert Cemetery. Michael joined the Polish Forces under British command in the Middle East in 1942. He served in Italy and then in the United Kingdom until finally discharged in 1948. He took part in the operations in Italy during 1944-1945 and was wounded in action in 1944.
