Michael (Mike) Allan Tobiasz, age 71, of Oak Creek, Wisconsin, passed away on June 28, 2026,
surrounded by family. He was born on August 7, 1954 to Aloysius and Euince Tobiasz.
He was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where he grew up alongside his siblings,
developing a close-knit family bond and friendship with each of them.
Upon high school graduation, Mike enlisted in the United States Marines Corps, where he
served for seven years, including a tour of duty in the Vietnam War as a combat photographer.
He remained proud of his time as a Marine throughout his life.
Following his time in the military, Mike found his way to a career in truck driving, spending more
than 20 years driving for ABF. He was a proud Teamster and cherished the many lifelong
friendships he built along the way. It was also during this time that he met the love of his life,
Janet, and together they welcomed two daughters, Melissa and Melanie.
Outside of work, Mike's true joys were found outdoors and behind the camera lens. He was an
avid fisherman who spent countless hours on the water, with memorable trips to Canada,
Petenwell, and Minocqua among his favorites. He also had a deep love of photography,
capturing his many family trips and preserving memories to treasure for years to come.
In retirement, Mike and Janet spent nearly seven years traveling in their RV, exploring places
across the country and making memories along the way. These adventures were some of the
happiest of his life.
But, Mike's most cherished role came later in life, when he became "Grandpa" to Audrey and
Cecilia. Becoming a grandpa brought him joy unlike any other, and he loved every moment
spent with his granddaughters.
Mike is survived by his wife Janet (nee Sedivy); daughters Melissa (Tony) Wolff and Melanie
(Adam) Shady; his granddaughters, Audrey Wolff and Cecilia Shady; his siblings Christine
(Jack) Wierzba, Judy Tobiasz, Linda (Doug) Branum, Denise Kohnke, and Robert (Maria)
Tobiasz; his brother-in-law Michael (Jeanine) Sedivy; and his nieces and nephews Brian
(Ronda) Wierzba, Scott (Tara) Kobb, Brooke (Brad) Schurrer, Lioska Mendoza, Karina
Mendoza, Sidney Kohnke (Jeremy), Justin Haldeman, Jared Haldeman, Alyssa Wierzba-Kobb,
Jamie Haldeman, Jayden Tobiasz, Shawn (Courtney) Pucylowski, Ryan Sedivy, and Nicole
Sedivy.
He was preceded in death by his parents Aloysius and Eunice Tobiasz, sister Wanda Tobiasz,
parents-in-law Thomas and Rita Sedivy, and brother-in-law Thomas Sedivy.
Mike will be remembered for his proud service to his country, quick-witted sense of humor, and
immense love of his family and friends.
A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, July 10 at 10 a.m. at Prasser Kleckza Funeral Homes - South Suburban Chapel, with a memorial service beginning at noon.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Stars and Stripes Honor Flight in
