Mike lost his battle with mesothelioma on Sunday, May 17, 2009 in the wonderful care of the Columbia Hospice Care, at the age of 62 years. Beloved husband of Marilyn (nee Schulz). Dear father of Melanie (David) DeQuardo and Melissa (Michael) Gajewski. Loving grandpa of Marissa, Alexis, Ella and Mikey. Son of Lois Hoar and the late Irving Petersen. Brother of Mary Smith, Peggy Gallery and Bobby Hoar. Son-in-law of Madeline Schulz. Brother-in-law of Dan (Sue) and Tom Schulz. Further survived by other family and many friends. Memorial visitation at the Funeral Home, THUR May 21st4-6 PM. Services at 6 PM. Mike was a retiree of Milwaukee County, a member of Plumber's Local 75, a US Navy Vietnam veteran and former member of Sitzmark Ski Club.
