IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Michael Tracy
Meyers
May 13, 1955 – April 27, 2024
Michael T. Meyers, affectionately known as "Mick" and "Mickey", was born to Eternal Life April 27, 2024 at the age of 68. He passed away peacefully at home with his loving wife and best friend, Nancy (nee Swan), at his side following a lengthy and valiant battle with Parkinson's Disease. Proud and cherished father of Phillip Meyers and Caitlin Meyers (David Augustiniak). Beloved brother of John (Louise), Joseph, and Daniel (Debra). Dear brother-in-law of John (Linda) Herrera. Special uncle of John, Joseph, Robert, Kevin, Katharine, Kimberly, Dana and Gavin (Brittany). Also survived by many treasured friends. Preceded in death by his parents John and Elizabeth Meyers and in-laws Phillip and Juanita Swan.
Mickey was born and raised in New Jersey where he enjoyed participating in sports and spending time with his friends and brothers. He is a graduate of Marquette University and Touro Law School. Upon graduating from Marquette in 1977, Mick took a job with the City of Milwaukee, Department of City Development, where he met many of his life-long friends and his soulmate, Nancy. He eventually decided to fulfill his dream of becoming a lawyer. After completing law school, he returned to settle in Milwaukee. The following years were filled with travel, including trips to Europe where Mick proposed at the top of the Eiffel Tower. He and Nancy were married in 1988 and in the years to follow welcomed their two beloved children who became the center of their world.
Mick was known for being a hard-working, compassionate attorney who was appreciated and praised by his clients, yet he remained humble. He will always be remembered for his love of Brewers baseball, Marquette basketball, concerts, music, trivia and the Jersey Shore. Many wonderful family memories were made throughout the years, most notably, family trips to New Jersey (and Point Pleasant Beach), NYC, Minnesota, Disney World, and Door County and later, trips to Sanibel Island with dear friends.
Heartfelt thanks to the caring nurses, CNAs and PT/OT/ST staff at Lakeshore at Siena rehab facility and also to St. Croix Hospice for their unwavering, compassionate support. Special thanks to Amanda and Chad for going above and beyond.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to the Wisconsin Parkinson's Association.
