Michael J. Manikowski "Mike" "Sticks" "MF" Died peacefully on Friday, March 5, 2021 after a dignified battle with glioblastoma (Brain cancer) for nearly 11 years. Age 61 years. Loving husband and best friend of Tina (nee Erato) for 37 years. Devoted dad of Jason (Kelli) Manikowski, Kevin (Mel) Manikowski and Alyssa Manikowski. Proud grandpa of Michael Angelo Manikowski. Beloved son of Mary Jean and the late Dennis Manikowski. Further survived by other family members and friends. Visitation Thursday, March 11, 2021 from 4:30 - 7 PM at St. Roman Church, 1710 W. His battle with cancer never defined him and he always had a positive attitude. Mike lived his life making others laugh and was the life of the party. He was a big kid at heart and had a smile and laugh that were contagious. Mike's lifelong passion of sports carried into fatherhood. He used that passion to connect with his children and teach life lessons and personal character. He loved coaching and was self-sacrificing to make sure that his schedule always revolved around his children. He also loved Wednesdays golfing with his mom as well as his sporting events with the guys.
