Matthew Henry Nuszbaum Died unexpectedly on Friday, September 23, 2016 at the age of 33 years. Devoted husband of Akosua Anokyewaah Akyeampong. Loving dad of Kwame Apollo Nuszbaum and Kofi Orion Nuszbaum. Beloved son of Matthew Arthur Nuszbaum and Marian Edith Nuszbaum. Treasured brother of Melissa "Sas" (Joel) Selstrom. Proud uncle of Jack Randall Selstrom. Adored grandson of Virginia T. and the late Henry Nuszbaum, and Stella and the late Robert White. Precious Godson of Henry D. Nuszbaum and Debbie Nuszbaum. Dear son-in-law of Rexford and the late Diane Kyei. Cherished brother-in-law of Joyce Owusu-Kyei, Vida (Kwaku) Asare, Doris (Thiery) Gerbert, Rexford (Evelyn) Kyei Jr., Kingsford (Priscilla) Kyei, Naomi (Richard) Addai and Dorcas Kyei. Matt is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other family members and many dear friends. Matt was a 2001 graduate of St. Francis High School where he was also an all-conference baseball standout. He was a 2007 graduate of the University of Wisconsin Madison where he made the Dean's List and earned degrees in Anthropology and Nursing. After graduation he worked in the operating room at the University of Wisconsin Madison Hospital, St. Luke's Medical Center and Columbia-St. Mary's Hospital. Answering his personal call to serve humanity and devote his career to patient care Matt worked at St. Ann Rest Home and the Jewish Home and Care Center. It was while working at the Jewish Home, Matt met Akosua. Throughout his life Matt enjoyed the outdoors, hiking, fishing, travel and magic. He was musically gifted and played the guitar, piano, harmonica, ect. His other passions in life include astronomy and philosophy. Matthew Henry Nuszbaum will be remembered most for being devoted to his entire family. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial offering to Matt's family. Visitation Friday, October 7, 2016 from 4-8 PM at Prasser-Kleczka Funeral Home, 3275 S. Howell Ave. Milwaukee. Prayer vigil at 8 PM. There will also be visitation on Saturday from 10-11 AM at Nativity of the Lord Church, 3672 E. Plankinton Ave. Cudahy. Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM.
