Mary Lou Geboy passed away peacefully on Monday, June 9, 2025 after a long battle with illness. Mary came from Colorado and settled in Wisconsin for many years. During her time in Wisconsin, she worked as a waitress, a nurse's aide, and also as a supervisor in food service. She worked hard all her life. Growing up on a farm, she loved animals. Needless to say, she had a lot of pets. She had 2 doves, parakeets, 2 gerbils, a cat, and a dog. She was always first in line to volunteer to petsit. She was a true animal lover and will happily be reunited with all her animal friends in heaven. In her later years she spent her time at Maple Ridge Rehabilitation. Mary was a social butterfly, always interacting with other residents at Maple Ridge and she could always be found in the activity room. During her time there she enjoyed doing artwork and doing various challenging puzzles. She liked to read and she often engaged in the various activities at Maple Ridge. She loved the meals, home cooked food, at Maple Ridge and she loved to play Bingo, but she was always striving to win the big prizes. She enjoyed watching the TV given to her by the late Steve Falkowski. He and his sister Christine, and Kathy and "Bob the Cab Driver" would try to come and see her as often as they could, usually ever other week sometimes accompanied by a group of ladies from Mercy Hill Church. Mary was a very tender-hearted person and she would often pray and ask the Lord into her heart. Mary was also a very compassionate person. She will be missed by all of the many lives she touched. We thank the staff and residents at Maple Ridge for making the time that she was there special, and a special thank you to Deb Breyzinski for being a good friend and caregiver as well.
