Elleseg, Mary H. (nee McCullough) Age 85, of Milwaukee; died August 19, 2011, in Iowa City, IA. She is survived by her sisters Frances Martin and Shirley Mattie McCullough and extended family in Georgia; her children Sandra (Roger) Harrigan, Mary Helen (John) Stefaniak, George (Cindy) Elleseg, and Richard (Nancy) Elleseg; her grandchildren Kelly Harrigan, Amy (Maurice) Harrigan, Jeffrey (Monika) Stefaniak, Liz (Van) Huett , Lauren Stefaniak, Laura Elleseg, Monica Elleseg, Matthew Elleseg, and Andrew Elleseg; and her great-grandchildren Paige Stevens and David Huett. She was preceded in death by her husband, George; her sisters, Dorothy and Mildred; and her brother, Edward. Mary was born October 24, 1925, in Gordon, GA, to Edward and Mattie McCullough. After her parents' deaths in 1936, Mary and 3 siblings were raised by her grandparents, Andrew and Daisy Califf. In 1943, Mary met George Elleseg while he was stationed in Georgia. They married in 1945, and Mary joined George's extended family in Milwaukee. She worked in food service at Aurora St. Luke's Hospital, where she later volunteered for more than 25 years. Mary also volunteered regularly at Mount Carmel nursing home. She was a member of St. Veronica's parish and also attended Blessed Sacrament and St. Gregory the Great. Visitation at the Funeral Home Wednesday August 24 from 4-7 PM. Eulogy at 6:45. Mass of Christian Burial at ST. VERONICA'S CHURCH, 4001 S. Whitnall Ave., Thursday August 25, at 9:30 AM.
