Obituary

Mary Ann Woltz

(nee Krysiak) was called to her heavenly home in the early morning hours of November 17, 2025 at the age of 91. Mary Ann was born on August 15, 1934, to John and Josephine Krysiak.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Robert D. Woltz. Mary Ann is survived by her loving and caring son Brian (partner Donna Walker) and her daughter, Lori (Martin) Burke and her stepbrother John Krysiak, sister-in-law Ordell Woltz, bonus mom to Mike, Kelly and Mark Burke and many nieces and nephews.

Mary Ann had a hard childhood after losing her mother (Josephine) to TB around age two. Her family left Wisconsin for Texas after her mother's diagnosis of TB, but sadly Josephine passed away at an early age of 34 years old. Mary Ann also lost an older sister Delores to TB. Her father reached out to a convent in San Antonio, TX, there the Mother Superior and nuns agreed to foster little Mary Ann. Her father moved back from Texas to Milwaukee to find support from his family and married his second wife (Marion Jones).

Back in Wisconsin as a young child she had all the love and devotion from her many aunts, uncles and cousins, she absolutely adored each and every one of them. She was able to spend time with her polish grandpa and grandma Krysiak and visited their farm on Whitnall Avenue in Cudahy! Those times gave her so many of her favorite memories of childhood and as a teenager. Even at 91 years old, she fondly remembered those memories.

She lived a life marked by love, hard work with 25 years at Bay View Industries and a sense of joy among family. Mary Ann will always be remembered for her loving generous spirit, and compassionate heart. Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure.

Mary Ann's attention to her family, her yard and decorating for each holiday was something to behold. She loved a good Brandy and Coke, Bloody Mary or a Coors Light (over ice) at her super bowl party's, which included her many cousins. She enjoyed Polka music, gambling at casinos, and the horse track. Thanks to City ordinances, Mary Ann could not keep a horse on her patio. But, most of all was the love for her dogs (many, many dogs that all had the same name). Her years on earth were all about family gatherings, hosting Thanksgiving and Christmas for more than 30 plus years.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to her care givers from Aurora Advanced Health Care and Aurora At Home. Thank you for all your compassionate care, and for the kindness during Mary Ann's final year. Also, thanks to her many friends and neighbors, for their kindness and friendship to our Mom and being there for us. It is so much appreciated.

Memorial donations can be made to the Wisconsin Humane Society.
