IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mark Lee
Plennes
November 27, 1948 – March 25, 2025
Mark Lee Plennes, 76, passed away on March 25, 2025, in Hua Hin, Thailand. Loving husband of Kannikar Plennes. Proud father of Marc (Carrie) Plennes, Chad (Cathy) Plennes and Megan (Chris) Gladney. Grandpa of Carter, Maya and Gemma. Preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Katharine Plennes, his daughter baby Cherie, and his brothers: Neal and Wayne Plennes. Survived by his sister Karen Both, nieces, nephews and his former wife, Kathy Conrad.
Mark joined the U.S. Marine Corps at 18 and went on to join the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Department in 1973. He was a great asset to Milwaukee throughout his law enforcement career. Promoted to Detective, Mark served on the S.W.A.T. Team and worked on many high-profile crimes. Before his retirement in 1999, he was proudly asked to work in the F.B.I. Violent Crime Task Force. Post-retirement, Mark completed three years of private military missions in Kosovo, Liberia, and Iraq. He made many friends around the world, and he was the greatest of storytellers.
In retirement, Mark lived in both Scottsdale, Arizona and Hua Hin, Thailand, where he enjoyed guitars, construction, and travel with his wife, Kannikar. Private services were held in Thailand.
