She also kept in touch with nurses she graduated with and saw them frequently for many years.
Marilyn and Dick loved to travel and had a goal of visiting each of the 50 United States. They visited son, Tom, in Alaska and went to Hawaii for their 50th wedding anniversary. They loved their driving vacations and Marilyn especially loved the southwest, where her mother lived. Marilyn loved to scrapbook their travels, among other things, and create homemade cards for special occasions. Marilyn also loved her little white dogs, her large rubber stamp collection, a good used book sale, going out to eat, red cars and shopping at the Land's End Outlet.
